Milestones

Aspen had its first office on the shores of Lake Aspen in Lerum, Sweden. Hence the name Aspen! Everything started in 1988 when Roland Elmäng, Aspen’s founder, developed a special fuel for chain saws, alkylate petrol, which is kinder to people, machine and the environment. Roland Elmäng was also the creator of low-sulphur diesel. As early as 1989, he was using the first quantities of this diesel, which is now standard in Europe. Roland Elmäng died in 1995.
